PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OR USING OUR WEBSITE, MOBILE APPLICATIONS, AND OUR SERVICES, YOU HEREBY AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND ALL TERMS INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOU, THE USER, CUSTOMER, OR PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMER TO READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING TO USE THIS WEBSITE OR MOBILE APPLICATION. IF YOU DO NOT EXPRESSLY AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, THEN PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS OR USE OUR WEBSITE, MOBILE APPLICATIONS, OR OUR SERVICES.

1. Acceptance of Terms

The following Terms of Service Agreement (the "TOS") is a legally binding agreement that shall govern the relationship with our users and others which may interact or interface with RentConnectus, its affiliates, authorized third parties and subsidiaries (collectively "RentConnect", "we", "us", "our", or "Company") and governs the use of this website, mobile applications (iOS and Android), or other Company products and services (collectively, the "Services") by users of the Services ("you" or "your").

2. Description of Services

RentConnect is a property management platform that provides landlords and tenants with tools to manage rental properties, leases, payments, maintenance requests, and communications. Services offered are intended for U.S. residents and businesses and are not intended for the use of minors. Users must be at least 18 years of age.

Our Services include:

Property and unit management for landlords
Lease creation and management
Rent payment processing
Maintenance request tracking
Tenant-landlord messaging
Financial reporting and analytics
Document storage and management

At its discretion, RentConnect may offer additional Services and/or products, or update, modify or revise any current content and Services, and this Agreement shall apply to any and all additional Services. RentConnect reserves the right to cancel and cease offering any of the aforementioned Services and/or products.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

Landlord Accounts: Landlord accounts require a paid subscription. You must be authorized to manage the properties you add to the platform.

Tenant Accounts: Tenant accounts are free but must be linked to a valid landlord/property on the platform.

4. Subscriptions and Payment Terms

RentConnect offers subscription-based services with the following pricing:

Platform Subscription (Landlord): $49.99 per month — Required to access landlord features
Location Add-on: $9.99 per month per property/location added
Unit Add-on: $9.99 per month per unit added

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions (Apple App Store & Google Play Store)

When purchasing subscriptions through our mobile applications:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play Store after purchase.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and may vary in other countries based on local App Store/Google Play pricing.

Web Dashboard Subscriptions (Stripe)

When purchasing subscriptions through our web dashboard:

Payment is processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
Subscriptions automatically renew on a monthly basis unless cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Billing section of your account.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
No refunds will be issued for partial months.

5. Rent Payment Processing

RentConnect facilitates rent payments between tenants and landlords through Stripe. By using our payment features:

Tenants authorize charges to their selected payment method for rent amounts specified in their lease.
Landlords agree to receive payments through Stripe Connect and comply with Stripe's terms of service.
RentConnect is not responsible for payment disputes between tenants and landlords.
Processing fees may apply as disclosed at the time of transaction.
RentConnect does not store full credit card numbers on its servers.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time by:

Using the "Delete Account" option in the mobile app (More > Delete Account);
Contacting us at customerservice@rentconnectus.com.

Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records). Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe before account deletion.

7. Prohibited Use

Use of this Website, App, and Services is subject to all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. You are prohibited from:

Using the Services for any illegal purpose or for the transmission of any unlawful material;
Directly or indirectly interfering with the proper working of the Services;
Using any robot, spider, or automated device to access or copy our content without permission;
Taking any action which imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
Conducting fraud or misrepresenting your identity;
Uploading false property listings or lease information;
Harassing other users through our messaging system;
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts.

We reserve the right to remove any content or terminate any account that violates these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the exclusive property of RentConnectus or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. RentConnect EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

RentConnect DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS;
THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE;
THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE;
ANY ERRORS IN THE SOFTWARE WILL BE CORRECTED.

10. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL RentConnect, ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS AND LICENSORS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY PUNITIVE, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES WHICH MAY BE RELATED TO THE LOSS OF ANY PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA AND/OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, EVEN THOUGH WE MAY HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF SUCH POSSIBILITY THAT SAID DAMAGES MAY OCCUR, AND RESULT FROM:

THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES;
THE COST OF PROCURING SUBSTITUTE GOODS AND SERVICES;
UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA;
STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES;
AND ANY OTHER MATTER RELATED TO THE SERVICES.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, OUR LIABILITY IN SUCH JURISDICTION SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentConnect, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and third parties, for any losses, costs, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) relating to or arising out of your use of or inability to use the Services, any user postings made by you, your violation of any terms of this Agreement or your violation of any rights of a third party, or your violation of any applicable laws, rules or regulations.

12. Third-Party Services

Our Services integrate with third-party services including but not limited to:

Stripe: For payment processing (subject to Stripe's Terms of Service)
Apple: For iOS app distribution and in-app purchases (subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement)
Google: For Android app distribution and in-app purchases (subject to Google Play Terms of Service)

13. Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver

All parties agree that any and all disputes or claims that have arisen or may arise between you and us relating in any way to or arising out of this or previous versions of this Agreement, your use of or access to our Services, or any product sold, offered, or purchased through our Services shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that if your claims are under $1,000.00 you may assert claims in small claims court, if your claims qualify.

YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND US WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of this Agreement shall be finally settled by arbitration in New York, New York.

15. Changes to Terms

RentConnect reserves the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website and app. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the Services following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
